Xiaomi is basically a Chinese company, and it arrived in India in July 2014 with its Mi 3 in partnership with Flipkart. Xiaomi has gained huge popularity in India as it offers budget Android smartphones with high specifications while other companies like Samsung, and Nokia fail to provide such specifications at this budget. At present, Realme, a sub-brand of OPPO is giving strong competition to Xiaomi as it also launches some quality smartphones with aggressive pricing compared to Xiaomi. Though the competition in the smartphone market is very high, Xiaomi is still able to hold its position and becomes the no.1 smartphone-selling brand in India. With the launch of POCO F1 which consists of Snapdragon 845 under 20,000, the company makes the path very difficult for the companies like Samsung, Oneplus, LG, etc.

However, in India, Xiaomi recently launched another new smartphone which is Redmi Note 6 Pro and we can easily say it is the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro that was launched some months ago. The phone comes with Snapdragon 636 and the price of the base variant is 13999. Though we cannot say that it is a major upgrade of Redmi Note 5 Pro as both have the same processor (Snapdragon 636), the quad camera and notch display make the difference. Before discussing Redmi Note 6 Pro in detail, let’s see the key specifications and price in detail

Xiaomi placed the power button and volume buttons on the right and there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a secondary microphone, IR blaster on the top. On the left side, the phone has a hybrid dual-sim tray. Though the phone has, a 4000mAh battery, it feels comfortable to hold, and it is because of its curved design in the back. At the bottom, Xiaomi placed a micro USB port and there are grilles on both sides of the Micro-USB port, but only the right side consists of a loudspeaker. At this point, it must be mentioned that other companies like NOKIA, and Motorola are offering USB TYPE-C ports at this price point but on the other side Xiaomi is providing a Micro-USB port, and it is a negative aspect of this smartphone.

Display

Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 19:9 FHD+ display and considering the price, it must be mentioned that it has an awesome display and the notch makes the display more attractive. If you are not a notch lover, there is an option where you can hide the notch. It has Corning Gorilla Glass protection and so you don’t have to worry if it falls. The display has a pleasing design and the side view is also very good. Even in the sunlight, you will get a vibrant and clear view. Shortly, for movie lovers, the display will provide nothing but a heavenly pleasure.

Xiaomi has added AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait 2.0 and this AI will enhance the performance of the cameras. Xiaomi has confirmed that the rear cameras can recognize 32 scenes and on the other side the front cameras are able to recognize 12 scenes using AI technology.

The phone can detect the edges perfectly and even after taking shots, users can adjust the level of blur and they can also adjust studio lighting.
